sushi cape town waterfront

As featured in Seeing Cape Town with the Welshman The sushi was nice as always. First time I actually had a starter there. The tomato and mussels soup starter was poor. Sweet tomato soup with 3 mussels was not worth the effort. The restaurant was very busy but I would still expect better service than we got. There was enough staff but they should be more attentive. This is a very busy place and you must book if you can! Despite this the staff were efficient. The food especially the fish and chips were very good. But you have a very good selection on the menu here. One downside is that it is indoors. Excellent sushi, but average on other seafood dishes. We dined at this place twice within a few days of each other. There is usually a long waiting queue, although it moves fairly fast. The staff are very friendly and attentive. It is a busy place but the service is quick. On the first day we all wanted sushi ( family...and most importantly, the waiter was really really nice and he recommended the things we should try, all his recommendations were delicious.

loved the place ! will go back again for sure but avoid the rush hour (around 9pm), the queue is really long This place offers the best range, quality and variety of sushis in Cpt, with no contest the best place for Sushis. Anyone who has visited the waterfront has surely seen the queue of eager people hoping to be lucky enough to get a seat at Willoughby's and if you are one of the lucky ones you will understand the fuss ! Service is ALWAYS efficient , food is ALWAYS outstanding and even as I type this review I wish I could... “If you can get a table go!!” If it says "rock shrimp" just go for it. It can be a whole reason to visit Cape Town. 4x4 is always stunning. Anything I try is delicious. The only issue some people might have is the the crowd, but it adds to the charm. You don't go there for anything but the food... Amazing food, great service... Everything on the menu is beautifully presented, well thought out and brought to you by a five star, charismatic staff.

No reservations but worth the wait! Some of the best sushi I've ever had. An extensive menu that covers everything seafood. My highlight was the New Orleans style oysters. Open kitchens - which was fantastic to see everything being prepared. Service was professional and friendly.

how to eat sushi and not get sick

Picture not of Asian Asia’s Sushi On Sunday evening, myself and 7 friends got a sudden craving for sushi and Chinese food. We decided to go to Asian Asia, Tyger Waterfront, as some of us had been there before and really enjoyed it. We phoned the smaller of the two Asian Asia’s in the complex and after hearing that they were not open, we went to the bigger Asian Asia restaurant, next to the Bossa Nova.
how to roll sushi tightly We ordered some al-you-can-eat sushi and really enjoyed the first couple of plates we had.
play sushi cat online for freeAfter the 2nd round of ordering, my mate Richard spotted a bug-like thing moving inside the rice. We called our waiter over to have a look and he was so freaked out by the movement of this thing that he ran away from the table to call the manager/owner.

The first guy that came over, presumably the manager came to have a look and against our requests, removed the plate from the table. They then brought the plate back – with the bug gone, and tried to tell us that it was merely a mosquito that sat on top of the rice – we could clearly see the thing was stuck inside, and it was not a mozzy. The waiter confirmed that they had to remove it from the rice – it did not just fly away. At this time, my friend Richard, who’s in the chef industry, told the waiter that he was not happy to pay the R139 for his all-you-can-eat dinner. I think most would agree that this is only fair after finding strange bugs in his sushi. The waiter then ran this by the owners and they came over to the table, basically shouting at us, saying he has to pay. After a rowdy exchange of words, mostly from their side, they agreed that Richard would not have to pay, but then the waiter would have to foot the bill. With all-you-can-eat sushi, if you have extra pieces of sushi left over, you have to pay extra for them.

Richard had a plate with four pieces left over and called the waiter to take it away. Fearing that he would have to pay extra for this as well, the waiter asked Richard to rather finish the sushi – which he then did. Or tried to, at least. The owner came rushing back, grabbed the piece of sushi our of Richard’s mouth and slammed the plate onto a table next to us. “You are done now“. The rest of us finished our food, paid and left. Upon paying the bill, we gave a number to the waiter and asked him to let us know if they make him pay Richard’s bill. Why should he be liable to pay? He only carried the food – the preparation thereof is not his responsibility and he should not be held accountable. This morning, we received this text from the waiter: I absolutely cannot believe they made this poor guy pay the bill, AND then fired him. I kindly urge, or beg, you to NEVER go to Asian Asia in the Tyger Waterfront. People who treat customers and staff like this, do not deserve to run a business or to make any money off it.
