sushi cape town tripadvisor

As featured in Seeing Cape Town with the WelshmanAs featured in The Best of the Cape Amazingly cooked japanese food at this authentic high-end classy Asian restaurant - classic, fresh and light dishes , small yes - but still filling and tasteful ! Drinks also very Japanese and light and fitting the menu and style Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Wide variety on menu including essential whisky! Worth the additional cost. Probably the best Japanese restaurant in Cape Town. The sushi is particularly good. Very fresh, lots of variety with interesting choices. I have been several times and have nothing but good to report. You have their attention from the minute you arrive until you leave. Beautiful food and a great atmosphere. Cant wait to go back but be sure to make reservations - they're extremely popular! This is not a regular sushi place, but more a Japanse style restaurant. They offer some sushi, but more other dishes. We had miso soup as starter, this was one of the best miso soups I ate in my life.

The soup was full with mushrooms and soja. The handroll with crab was good, crab was not really fresh, but... Last night I was euphoric at the experience of this restaurant. I travel extensively and classify myself as an experienced ' food ' journalist amongst my other Showbiz areas.
sushi club delivery mar del plataSo I often arrive slightly jaded and with too many expectations.

sushi conveyor belt los angeles We were staying locally and fancied sushi, this was the closes to our guest-house according to TripAdvisor.

We turned up without a booking and they were able to seat us, we even got a room pretty much to ourselves. We started with cocktails - highly reccomend the dirty ninja saketini! We then had tempura scallops with miso and the tempura... A silly pretence for real Japanese food. Tiny portions of poor quality at exorbitant prices. We were satisfied with the service and thought it was good for Cape Town. We loved the interior of the restaurant and found the atmosphere relaxing. Upside: Pretty amazing Japanese food; LOVED the real McCoy wasabi (that lingering taste is something else); great cocktails and Japanese whisky! Downside: Price difference between restaurant menu and website menu (eg on website R95 for Nikka in the Barrel; about R95+R100 in restaurant); format and state of menus (given this is one of SA's top Asian... We love our Sushi...whilst staying at our hotel in CT over December we stumbled upon this sushi spot....their sushi is undoubtedly in a class of its own.

They are super creative, the dishes are mostly quite unique, and the taste is unlike any other sushi I have had..we landed up frequenting this spot for take aways far too often. Literally the best sushi in Cape Town. Affordable and halaal although you can bring your own alcohol, no alcohol is sold on the premises. I am a loyal Nuri Suhi supporter for more than 4 years. Each sushi piece has it's own flavor and nothing is bland or the same. Brilliant Take Away Sashimi. For this great was very cheap. With love to de detail thank you. Next time in cape town im back there....!! Easy going place, nothing fancy, bit loud club music, good service and awesome Sushi!! Try the mixed platters....yummmiiieh Nice sushi spot in the heart of Cape Town. A little too much rice for my liking, but not a bad meal. No liquor licence...bring your own wine. I think quality of service has been dropped. I haven't been at Nuri sushi at about 3 months. I was at the Nuri sushi today. Firsly so many new people and managerest (i think)

I place my order from cashier then I asked for the sparkling water. The sparkling water was cold and I asked the lady for the room... Nuri Sushi, in a side street in the hustle and bustle of Cape Town CBD sure is different. The place got busy so quickly after just opening so the sushi must be good. I ordered a combo which is reasonably priced compared to other places. Overall the menu has nuri specialties as well as the usual suspects. Best sushi i have ever had and so affordable!! In the mid city so parking might be a problem. A very popular place in Cape Town - packed on a Sunday night !! The service and the food both didn't disappoint Shared a sushi platter And couldnt Even finish it. Sushi was fresh And arrived fast. Price was good for The amount we received. One of the best sushi spots in cape town. Suggest making reservations as they are usually fully booked. Pricing above average but worth every cent. Really nice atmosphere at this place, and impeccable service.

Every morsel of food we ordered was incredible. The duck & ginger dumplings are still in my thoughts and dreams! Samurai roll and crunchy tuna roll w/black bean drizzle. Beluga has always been my favourite sushi and dim sum spot in Cape Town. It is great value for money when you take advantage of the specials, the sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the dim sums always perfect. The atmosphere is sophisticated and the staff are always attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, my last visit to beluga was not... Went for dinner with a friend and was left disappointed with the sushi. There just wasn't anything special about it and I won't be returning for sushi. There are many more sushi restaurants in Cape Town that serve tastier sushi. I would recommend going for cocktails as there is a great selection and they are really good. It was a 3 course dinner with the tour group the last night in So. I had the roasted chicken which was tender and tasty. I would recommend it.

We arrived and it's looks an amazing place. Our server was great, very attentive and friendly. From there it did not live up to expectations......we ordered a duck pot sticker but got lamb. While I have an aversion to lamb, I did not complain because everyone else at the table loved it. Main course was amazing. We had not been... Went here on christmas day with a group of friends after we just came back from holiday and didn't make any christmas plans and this place was open. Service was excellent and I love the space. We were sitting inside were everything was very young and stylish decorated. The only weird thing were the huge pictures on the wall of... We were a group of 3 and we had calamari and sushi and it was really excellent. Not cheap - but very good seafood. Wasn't to busy over lunchtime - but I have been there before in the evening when its just packed with people and very noisy.....However, the food is excellent - I recommend any of the seafood! We love this place.
