After attending a Sushi Class with Chef Renato from Sushi Central -stay tuned as the review is coming soon-he was kind enough to share with us the new appetizing dishes he just added to his menu. Passionate about food, it was interesting to get to know where his inspiration comes from. His first priority is to surprise his guests trying to find the perfect balance of flavours while staying attentive to their wishes and desires. More surprising, some of his ideas start and come live from his dreams. Aware of the Peruvian gastro trend hitting the market worldwide, Chef Renato came up with a Salmon Ceviche served with a Citrus Soy dressing (30 AED) and a Tuna Tataki, a seared tuna coated with black and white sesame seeds and served with a sweet Miso dressing and cabbage salad (35 AED).
These two will definitely be on top of our next order. We were lucky enough to try the Edamame Soba Noodle Salad priced at 26 AED. The portions are generous and the dressing was freshly-made and had a distinct sweet and sour taste. A must-have if you want a healthy vegan lunch option. Ramen is one of the most popular Japanese dishes. This full meal is now available on the menu with either Chicken or Beef, served with soba and a homemade vegetable stock for the soup. order sushi in mississaugaThese are priced at 42 and 45 AED.buy sashimi fish Why make things complicated when they can be simple? sushi to go cancunNo more reason to choose between vegetables or shrimp Tempura as the Chef cleverly decided to combine these two and added Vegetables Tempura with Shrimps (25 AED) on the menu.where to buy pickled ginger for sushi
Following high demand, the new comers this season are a Soft-Shell Uramaki priced at 48 AED. This special maki is prepared with crispy crab, lettuce and comes with a Teriyaki sauce and a spicy homemade mayo. Temaki are usually a must whenever having a party with friends. So Chef Renato added six brand new Temaki Hand-Roll options and we already have our two favorites. The Summer Grilled Vegetables is great with asparagus, baby corn, eggplant and a homemade tapenade (olives puree) and there is also the Salmon with Mango and Kiwi that is fab. where can i buy eel sauce for sushiLooking for something more classic?sushi los angeles wilshire Go for the Unagi Avocado – prepared with eel- or then there is also the Teriyaki Glazed Chicken.where can i buy a bamboo sushi roller
For those with a sweet tooth, you can now enjoy a homemade Green Tea Ice Cream served with mango slices. Chef Renato also added a Japanese classic called the Fried Ice Cream Roll. Rolled inside breadcrumbs, the vanilla ice cream is served fried with berries on the top and berry or chocolate coulis on the side. No doubt kids will ask for that one! Kids are not forgotten and after observing the success of the two child-friendly dishes on their Saturday brunch, the menu now proposes Potato Croquettes (15 AED) and 4 mini skewers prepared with crusted meat and seafood served with a sauce (30 AED). In a hurry at lunchtime during the week and looking for a healthy option? Check their 3 new Bento boxes priced between 45 and 58 AED. Our girly flair goes for the Summer Bliss prepared with cute round shaped sushi – they look like lip gloss -a grilled duck salad and a fresh fruit salad. All of these dishes are now available on the dine-in menu and also when ordering for home delivery and take away – except the ice creams obviously.
SUSHI CENTRAL ABU DHABI Tel: 600 52 0007 New menu : http://sushicentral.ae/menu/Everyone has started their holidays and I started mine with SushiSan in Holiday Inn Abu Dhabi in Dhafeer St. with my friends last week. It’s a newly opened restaurant and it’s grand opening happened last September 6. This is a Japanese restaurant purely for Sushi lovers. I’m one of them. I haven’t been to a specific restaurant for sushi that’s why I always look for them in a buffet. But it’s never been better than going to a sushi place indeed! And what if you’re not a sushi lover? You’ll become one of us. Read more to know why. SushiSan can be found easily located on the lobby level of the hotel on your right side. It has a great ambiance and different kinds of table set-ups to accommodate different numbers of guests. A huge painting of a beautiful Japanese lady on the left corner is very eye catching. You can find some other similar paintings also where we seated just smaller ones.
They have dedicated kids’ table utensils as well which I find very useful. We had sampled their platters. We tried the Platter 4 which is consisting of 6 pcs of each: Tiger Tempura (carrot, cucumber, parmesan, spicy mayo rolled on sesame seeds), California Maki (crab, avocado and mayo) Salmon Fantasy (salmon, spicy mayo, avocado, cream cheese, rolled on sesame seeds) and Rainbow Maki (crab, salmon and spicy mayo). And among these 4 it’s the Rainbow Maki is the one that’s a bit spicy and I love that twist! The Platter 8 is consisting of Ultimate Dynamite Shrimp (shrimp with spicy mayo and scallion, a bit spicy too), Creamy Lobster Roll (sesame dressing, cream cheese, mango, asparagus, scallion), Salmon Fantasy and Seared Tuna Loin (miso dressing, scallion salad, chilli and cilantro) which was medium cooked as we requested. This platter comes with an assorted sake also however we opted out that part since we don’t drink. For drinks we had Arizona Iced Tea and Apple, Passion, Mango which are bottled drinks.
All these were freshly made once ordered. The flavour is brimming in the air while cooking and preparing each of them. I can remember my friend saying she loves the scent to be present in their house coz it’s elegant. Not the typical food smell you will get in the kitchen. Sushi San provides all kinds of sushi with some infused ingredients making it more scrumptious and savory. By the way this Mochi Ice Cream was my first time to try it. It’s cold jellyish from the outside and the ice cream is in the inside as a filling. So that’s a vanilla, strawberry and green tea flavours on a platter. Since I have our small one with us, I chose the Salmon Popcorn (small diced of salmon deep fried) and Crispy Rice Balls for him ( rounded japanese rice into balls rolled into a flour and deep fried) served with sauce for taste. Just right for the kids. Staffs are well knowledgeable with their menu. If you find it difficult to choose especially if you’re a first timer, ask for their recommendations.
