Share Review05/20/2015I have been going to Sumo Sush...I have been going to Sumo Sushi for 11 years and I have NEVER been disappointed with the service, quality of the food, price or cleanliness of the restaurant. It is the ONLY place I will go to eat sushi!ShareFlag07/08/2014Favorite place to go for sushi in El Paso! As a regular, the owners and staff seem to recognize me and are very friendly. They serve complimentary miso soup which is very good, and the sushi usually comes out quick- sometimes even faster than the appetizers. The fish is always fresh, and for only 40 dollars on the medium sashimi, you get nearly 50 pieces of fish. I always get the Philadelphia roll, but the dragon roll's also great, and the green tea ice cream is delicious. Kona GrillThe sushi is delicious. The Mexican roll is so good but it's half the size of the other $3 rolls. Koze Teppan GrillIf possible, sit at the sushi bar, and ask the talented sushi chefs prepare any of the chef's specials on the chalkboard. Super salmon roll is awesome! The green tea creme brûlée is great too!

Sushi was perfect and not GOOEY like those Mongolian Grill places. Sunny'sdanny rocks the sushi bar :-)My favorite sushi restaurant in El Paso. The sashimi just melts in your mouth. Out of everything they had, there was only a couple things we did not enjoy - the won ton soup and their chocolate/coffee cake. The won tons in the soup were very doughy with only a little meat and the cake was very coffee flavored.

The dessert section was a little lacking in selection, but everything else really made up for it. The dinner hour has sea food, including crawfish and crab. Their pan fried dumplings were FANTASTIC. The best part was when we paid our tab, we spoke to the owner (who also rang us up). He was very enthusiastic and excited about his new business, asked what we thought of his food and was thrilled when we said we greatly enjoyed it and would be back soon. Our waiter was also very kind and attentive.GeogeskeGreat Atmosphere for cocktails but FOOD less than Par!!!I am here from Austin and heard nice things about this place. I have tried many of their dishes, especially the Beef CockTail and have enjoyed it. The other night I tried their expensive Tenderloin and wow was it terrible. Made a mention the the staff, but they weren't phased by my comments. I recommend the place for late night cocktails and the atmosphere, but would probably not recommend the steaks.I travel a lot on business and love to try local restaurants.
