Restaurant Report: Wooden chopsticks washed for reuse - NBC12 - WWBT - Richmond, VA News On Your Side Restaurant Report: Wooden chopsticks washed for reuse You've probably eaten with wooden chopsticks in a restaurant.  They're not supposed to be washed for reuse.  But a health inspector reported catching a sushi restaurant doing that. We went right to Samurai Sushi at 11391 Nuckols Road in Glen Allen, which had seven critical violations, plus nine non-critical, on its last inspection, including that wooden chopsticks were being washed for reuse. When you pull your wooden chopsticks out of the packing, they are sanitized.  But break them open and stick them in food or put them in your mouth, and bacteria gets into the grain of the wood.  That can't be washed or sanitized, which is why they're not supposed to be reused.  We asked the Samurai manager Philip Lin about the violation.  He responded, "They just made a mistake.  It was a new dishwasher.  Actually, she's not here anymore."
And we asked him about another violation the inspector noted: seafood at elevated temperatures in a display case. "She was talking about, in the morning, the sushi case. We keep the window open, the door open," Lin told us.  "That's why it was going up.  She took a test, it's fine."On the follow-up inspection two weeks later, all violations were corrected except for two, and Samurai's permit was renewed. sushi grade fish at costcoNext up, Logan's Roadhouse at 2301 West Hundred Road in Chesterfield.  sushi online bestellen bielefeldIt had four critical violations.  jiro dreams of sushi hawaiiThe report says abundant roaches were in the dish washing area.  jiro dreams of sushi koch media

Always clean and friendly. Even better I got engaged here. 11/04/2016 - will not return I have been to this establishment on four occasions and will not return for a fifth. I always enjoyed the owner's Tacoma restaurant, but this place is too expensive for its offering, the taste is lacking, the final bill always seems exaggerated and well, I will not return. The fried rice is good but it is very expensive and small serving too, too bad I hope they can lower the price 11/11/2009 - Lizz Reynolds I have been eating at Sakura's in Tacoma for many years and kept going back because I enjoyed the food style. However, after eating at Samurai's in Spanaway I will never go back to Sakura's.
Not only is the food of much higher quality(all white chicken, less fatty steaks, and fresher seafood) the atmosphere is enchanting. The decoration is above and beyond, it doesn't feel like a restaurant with a gimmick it feels warm and exotic like you've left the country, and it sure doesn't feel like you're in Spanaway. The several times I have been there I had to wait to be seated, which usually annoys me, however with the bar surrounded by a beautiful pond and a cozy fireplace inside the time just slipped right by me. The wait staff is much more polite and pleasant the at Sukura's and the chefs look more clean and seem more relaxed and have a fantastic grasp on the mood of the table. Sometimes you want jokes from your chef and sometimes you want a show and some romance and they seem to be able to sense what it is you are there for. Sitting next to strangers is not my favorite part of the whole experience but I will say with an entertaining and courteous staff, a warm inviting atmosphere and delicious food you can find you self talking with your table neighbors like old friends.
The food, my favorite part, is supreme. Every bite is delicious, the veggies are always perfect, the sauces(which are the same styles as Sukuras) are much richer, and the Chef is willing to prepare something to your liking if you are not able to eat something or don't like something that is part of the meal. I have a picky husband who always needs things made a different way than the rest of the table and the chef never seems to mind. In my opinion even if you live next door to Sakura's I would make the drive to Spanaway. Best restaurant in Tacoma. Maybe in the whole state! Food delicious and the staff #1. Decor can't be beat. Comeback Cindy Sumner need you to rescue them we no longer have quality in this town since you left buy the place back we need you signed your quality... We LOVE this place. Have been going her for about 25 years. It's our favorite Chinese restaurant. And, we just love the staff.... They have great pizza. The crust is tasty and the selection of toppings has something for everyone.
