We offer traditional sushi and sashimi including seasonal selections of fresh fish flown in from Japan. The restroom is roomy and clean, which for girls is always a plus...trust me.

However, the food didn't impress my husband and I. The ceviche roll and the spring rolls were really good. Other than that, the Japanese ceviche was a disappointment. It was more of a salad than a ceviche... The restaurant is on Andalusia - more peaceful and away from the Coral Gables street renovations. We tried their scallop soup, beef yakisoba, sushi and pork tonkatsu dishes and found them to be very good. Definitely give this restaurant a shot. Since I had experience the Obba in the brickell area, thought that the one in Coral Gables was going to be as good as the brickell one. It was a mistake to think that! The one in Coral Gables had one of the worst service I have ever experienced. Food was not good either to compensate the lack of good... The sushi at Obba is very good but on this visit I felt cheated. We went for dinner and ordered 2 bottles of saki which we were unfamiliar with brand names, so I pointed my selection. We were brought a bottle but it was substituted for a more expensive one.

When I received my bill and let the server know... Received a great recommendation for this restaurant so we thought we'd try it. When we walked in, we knew that it wasn't what we were hoping for but it was getting late and we were hungry so we stayed. We ordered the sashimi appetizer, Spicy Tuna Roll and Hamachi Roll. The Sashimi was good--White tuna (??), red tuna and salmon.... This is a good choice for Asian cuisine. I almost always have the Ramen Soup which is not cheap but it is a complete meal. The Sushi and the Salads are also very good. Decided to have lunch at OBBA sushi while I was in the area. The place has a great setup and look extremely fancy. My girlfriend and I decided to start off with the shrimp shumai which were phenomenal. We then ordered the dragon roll and the Tiger eye with avocado on top. Both of the rolls were rolled to perfection.... Entering the restaurant there is a moldy/bathroom-y smell, I think from the fountain. If you sit in the back you don't notice it.
