Awesome food, drinks and didn't have to sit at an hibachi table. Smaller table for individuals Steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster, all cooked to perfection right in front of you, Hibachi style! So yummy and so much food, you won't eat breakfast the next day. Our family loves to go here for birthdays and special occasions. Come to think of it, I may have to go this week. The seating is a slight problem as they are set up for the hibachi style , so the two of us ate at a table for 8... Not a problem for the restaurant. If you want good sashimi, don't bother. I ordered the sashimi deluxe and most of it was still frozen. I told them that it was frozen, and all they did was take $5 off the bill.

I was shocked and agreed to pay $20. I ate 6 pieces of partially frozen sashimi (which means it was def not fresh). We love coming to Mikata's. The service is always excellent as well as the food. We usually eat sushi and it is some of the best! Miksis has been in Macon for 25 years which speaks volumes about its appeal. I have enjoyed teppanyaki dinners from Raleigh, NC to Beverly Hills to Maui to Honolulu but have rarely seen chefs with such daring skills as I witnessed in Macon. The food experience was fairly typical of such establishments yet the menu seemed to offer more combinations,... If you are wanting excellent sushi in Macon, Ga, this is the place to come. Fish is extremely fresh and high quality. My wife and I visited twice in two weeks and were completely satisfied both times in both the quality of the food and the price compared to other sushi venues here in Macon. Don't be put off by... Just about the biggest most tasty sushi I have come across in my travels.
