We have gotten to know and depend on each other’s unique talents, as well as our quirks and guilty pleasures.  We think it says a lot that we can let our freak flags fly in the office, and if we’re wrong, we don’t want to be right!  Team, shmeam – this is family! Without further ado, we present to you Team DIVI: Pamela is a Twin Cities native who got her start in restaurants at a young age.  After moving up quickly in to restaurant management, she made the move to Naples, Florida as the GM of Campiello, a D’Amico restaurant.
It was then that her lifelong passion for giving back was truly born as she accepted the position of Executive Director of the Naples Children & Education Foundation.  Minnesota soon called her home and Pamela worked as the Medical Staff Coordinator at Shriners Hospitals for Children until she was whisked away by DIVI. Q: What song do you sing out loud in the car when you think no one is listening? A: “Some Nights – by Fun” Q: What did you do growing up that got you into trouble? A: “Pretty much anything I did.” Q: If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be? A: “In the future – I would love to meet my great, great grandchildren!” Q: What story does your family always tell about you? A: “When I got my thumb stuck in a bowling ball…yes, a bowling ball…” Mike is basically a Wisconsin guy from childhood and the oldest of 3 brothers. After going to UW Eau Claire he moved to Minneapolis and accidentally fell into the retail software industry where he spent 20 years before deciding he wanted to do something different.
That’s when Mike began to help launch DIVI. Q: What would you name the autobiography of your life? A: “Right Place, Right Time.” Q: What do you miss most about being a kid? A: “Actually, not much, I’m basically still just a big kid now but with more resources!” A: “I would love to see when humans finally figure out space travel in a meaningful way, but I’ll be shocked if it happens in my lifetime.” Q: In your own words, what is your job at DIVI? A: “Putting the pieces in place and removing roadblocks so our amazing team can do what they do best!” Taylor grew up in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. After receiving her degree in Mass Communication and Global Studies, she moved to the east coast to develop a non-profit foundation in the field of sustainable building. She soon realized her skills and passion were best suited for event planning, so as a true advocate for ‘the greater good’, she happily accepted a position as DIVI’s Events Director in 2014.
A: “I’m an unapologetic idealist. I would love to be alive and present during a genuine social movement toward WORLD peace. As the saying goes, ‘When the power of love overcomes love of power the world will know peace.'” Q: What is something you learned in the last week? A: “Don’t let doubt stop you from trying.” Q: When you have 30 minutes of free time, how do you pass the time? A: “Read gardening books or tend to my cat’s every whim.” Jake grew up in Eden Prairie and is an only child. He has always had dogs growing up and currently owns two beagle mixes. She moved to St. Paul to attend the University of St. Thomas, received her degree in Business Communications and spent the last 10 years working in the wedding and hospitality arena gaining life experience before finding herself at DIVI. A: “Being with my incredible family 24/7. They are my favorite people in the world!” A: “A few weeks after I got my drivers license I crashed our car into a tree on a dirt road…” A: “I’d like to be around when humans finally learn to live in harmony – truly help one another as neighbors, be accepting, and love instead of hate. The beauty is, that could be tomorrow.” A: “Communications Ninja – I make things look and sound the best they can before going out into the world.”
Aleckson moved to the United States when he was 7, soon after his father bought a computer and it was love at first sight. Everyday after school he spent time on forums and YouTube, reading and watching random tutorials that peaked his interest at the time.  By high school Aleckson was rooting his Android phones.  This early discovery of his vocation led him to study Java and Android development. Q: What song do you sing out loud in the car when you think no one listening? A: “Have You Ever Seen the Rain – by Creedence Clearwater Revival” A: “To see Martin Luther King, Jr. delivering his ‘I Have a Dream’ Speech.” A: “To Master ANYTHING, number of tries is the key.
