Brought by the same group of Sumoboo and Ikkudo Ramen, the opening of Sushi Sen is a great opportunity to grab the demand of decent sushi in PIK area. Sushi Sen Salad IDR 58k Major love this dish. It consists of vegetables and seaweed with diced cut of raw tuna & salmon, all ingredients were fresh, as for the dressing we opted Sushi Sen’s signature dressing. The dressing played a huge role in making this salad special, it was slightly tangy, nutty and sweet with citrus taste, very light and fresh. All ingredients of the nigiri sushi were fresh and nice but the portion is a bit smaller compared to nigiri sushi we usually had in other places, thus it makes the nigiri sushi very forgettable or not memorable.

We wanted to add Foie Gras but unfortunately it was sold out. When this dish came, we were a bit surprised by the medium portion. I guess maybe because after looking at the close up photo of this dish in the menu book, we had a certain expectation in our minds (bigger portion). The beef was a bit over cooked, we requested medium but it came in more likely medium-well, luckily it tasted good. Beef was tender and nicely seasoned with balanced sweet-savory soy-based sauce similar with teriyaki sauce, rice was fluffy, egg was creamy. All ingredients were complimenting each other perfectly, we just love the addition of crunchy garlic that made this dish fun. It was a delicious bowl of rice after all. Sushi Sen Fusion Roll IDR 158k Huge and satisfying portion of Sushi Sen’s signature fusion roll with delightful crunchy texture in the middle.
