Uchujin – Video Production Kit Someone asked me the other day WTF all the stuff I was carrying was, so I thought I’d do a quick post to show what I take when I leave the house to a shoot. Main picture at the top shows my Think Tank Airport International roller bag (fits into overhead lockers on planes – though is often so heavy I can only just lift it up there;) , Rhino slider (amazingly smooth, robust slider – LOVE it), Sachtler Ace Tripod (lovely smooth fluid head, rock solid) and Manfrotto light stand bag containing 8ft lightstand, 6ft lightstand, fluid foot monopod and a Silver reflective umbrella. Main compartment of the Think Tank:- Canon 5DmkII w Canon 50mm 1.4 lens Canon C100 mk I w Canon 17-55mm 2.8 IS lens and 2x 32GB SD cards LED light with 3 batteries Lens hood for the 17-55mm Box containing – Rode videomic pro, Sony UDP wireless lav, Rycote Undercovers and 3.5 male to female extension cordAirbox inflatable softbox Top Flap of the Think Tank:-

Micro SD to SD adapter Clip on magnifying glasses 2x 32GB CF Cards White balance lens cap Spare Manfroto tripod plate (fits the sachtler head :) Lastly and possibly most importantly a Mueller Back brace which I ALWAYS wear when shooting or carrying gear. Cannot overstate how great this thing is for preventing hurting yourself when carrying all the above gear up and down stairs in crowded Tokyo subway stations. (I also have the knee braces from Mueller which I often wear when I know I’m gonna be on my feet all day) So there you have it, that’s WTF all that stuff is.
