The hostess asked if we've been there before we told her it's our first time. She offered to give us a tour. It is a very neat place! "Now, I only ordered take out, so I can not really speak about the service or atmosphere, but I found the food here to be very good. Judging by the crowd on a Wednesday night I would have to say the place is…" "We came on Black Friday, first thing in the morning. I ordered a club sandwich, and my husband ordered a Reuben. They didn't have turkey, so I had to switch to a burger and fries. Reuben could have had a…" "Hey guys, so this place is under new ownership. It has been for about 2-3 years now.
So if you've had a bad experience, its worth another try. Plus they recently remodeled. They have a nice Japanese style…" I live in this town and this is/was my go to spot for friends and family. We walked out due to a snotty nose servers comment. And to top it off a half hearted sorry from a so called manager that didnt show her face till we were walking out. All birthdays, anniversaries and most events that me and my... 20% off regular sushi rolls for dinner (every night?) was a nice surprise! No free miso ($3??) must be where they make up the difference though. Friendly, decently run, Americanized "Japanese" joint with fairly-priced, well constructed "fusion sushi." Aga-dashi dofu was below par but rest of food was good. Noodles etc. standard but kinda hard to butcher those. Reasonable option in a college town food desert. We had not been to a Japanese restaurant in years. Enjoyed the experience all the way from the soup and salad, to the chef show in cooking our food.
These days sushi can be found in supermarkets, filling stations and on intercontinentale flights with obvious impact on the quality and freshness. Ichiban delivers good food. I had a miso soup, seaweed salade and a sushi-sashimi combo. W All good and tasty. I have had better, so no 5 star, but more often I had worse. This place is great sushi/ nigiri always great service is great hibachi is great we love this place and eat here very often prices are very good also The food at Ichiban has never disappointed in the dozen or so times I've had the pleasure of eating there. While the entrees are a bit pricey, it doesn't seem to have had any effect on the diners, especially on weekend evenings. To avoid the evening crowds, my family usually dine at ichiban during the lunchtime hours. T We've been here several times, and we always received good service and quality food! Lunch specials are the most affordable option, and we typically leave with leftovers. Yummy as always! W
