I love a bento box- I think that is four pieces of sushi and a cup of miso soup. I love the AYCE sushi place by us but I wouldn't dare eat more than 4 rolls. We usually split 12 rolls among 3-4 people. If I'm paying a la carte then I'll get 1 or 2. I try to eat a lot of them, but before i get full I feel like shit. And my tastes bud do to shit. I can easily eat two or three rolls! And sushi doesn't fill me up for long. I'm always hungry again soon after. I prefer sashimi or sushi to maki myself... like the pure texture more. Maki rolls can have a lot of sauce(s) drenching, cheese rolled in, tempura fried bits, seeds outside that really take away from the flavor... It might be a Midwestern thing, makes a decorated plate but isn't conductive for me to the pleasure of eating.
